System Requirements

  1. Supported operating systems
    1. Linux (tested with Ubuntu 8.04 and 8.10)
    2. Microsoft Windows (tested with Windows XP and Vista)
  2. Java Virtual Machine (JVM) 1.6 (Java 6) or later must be is installed on your computer. You can download the Java Virtual Machine here...

Installation Instructions

Pace & Place currently does not ship with any installer or automated installation procedure because this is not needed at the moment. Pace & Place must only be extracted from the archive in order to get it work. Just follow the simple steps below:

  1. Download the latest Pace & Place version matching your operation system.
  2. Unzip this downloaded file.
  3. Copy the extracted directory PaceAndPlace into a directory of your choice:
    1. Windows users: normally this would be C:\Programs
    2. Linux users: for example /home//programs
  4. The application can be started by calling the executable file located in the directory PaceAndPlace:
    1. Windows users: double-click on the file pace_and_place.exe
    2. Linux users: execute the file pace_and_place
